Thanks for sharing, deleted!! IMO, this is one of the 10 best articles yet published on the process of creating the Final Cut & deluxe DVD set. The level of work across the board that went into the creation of this restoration is the definition of extraordinary, and reading this article, you really understand why it's taken so many years to get this project absolutely right (it wasn't only because Bud Yorkin's thinking that BR's 25th anniversary was a neat idea, although that helped).

I swear to god, articles like this ensure that I'll be taking five times the regular amount of my sleeping-aid pills just to make it through the evening of December 17, 2007...

that has to be one of the best write-ups ive read so far, infact i like it so much... im going to now mention it on the front page!

Digitalbits.com had posted the link originally, which is where I found it. The folks there are a little-BR happy, which is a very good thing.

As for the article, I was fascinated by it. I too think it was rather excellent.
