I heard of IGN, that this would come out in 2000, but of course, that has already passed. Did they cancel this? Does anybody know any other information about this.

While the producers of the DVDs for ScottFree (Ridley's) were busy getting the DVD Editions for Gladiator and Hannibal, the project of BR got delayed, so they decided to wait and release it as 'Blade Runner 20TH Anniversary Special Edition', so it would be for sale around the half of next year. We are all on the wait...

Centauro is correct. They are releasing it for the 20th anniversary.

The rumour mill is working overtime on this one...

Pedro A Silva recently sent this article link to Bladezone.

Having read all the thread discussion and noted what Gerry Kissell (RepDetect) has said in his posting, I decided not to send it out as an Offworld Newsletter.

But it does make interesting reading, so I've posted it here instead.

Any comments?

The film's theatrical released was on June 25th, 1982. So maybe around June of this year.

It will be out this year. Probably mid-year. The AICN report has been officially confirmed as a lot of nonsense by someone who really knows what is happening.

Ridley Scott is working on his new transfer of Blade Runner now that Black Hawk Down is being released. So, still lots of work to do.
