As one of the many many persons who were enraptured by the original version & literally hung on everything that was said & done, it came as a big shock when I went to see the 'directors cut' for the 1st time. I felt cheated, the end was missing & perhaps a lot of us, after being totally engrossed in the film, appreciated the happy ending for various reasons including maybe relief at getting back to normality. <BR>I reiterate some of the others quotes re DVD we must have 5.1 surround sound & lots more extras & interviews, particularly on the original version, pretty please with sugar on top clean the ******* car, sorry I digress but I'm incensed at the fact its gone unaddressed for so long; 20 yr anniversary sounds good time to JUST DO IT

They also need Audio Commentary by ay least Ford and Scott, image library, teaser trailers, animated menus, EVERYTHING! It would also be nice if boh versions were on the disc, like the Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition disc has. (Theatrical Edition and Special Edition) I hope to see a release date and details soon. Oh yeah, and DELETED SCENES!!!

My local video store has the original to rent, though i have to admit i dont like it as well, the "happy" ending seems out of place
