Very true. And Charles could make a better doc than OTEOBR with one hand tied behind his back (not that I didn't like it, but, you know).

Still, I'd keep an eye out for On The Edge as possibly a complimentary release, like that 'The Alien Saga' dvd that came out alongside the Alien Quadrilogy.

It was supposed to be on there, from what I heard.

Damn. Well, I do have a copy anyway, but was hoping it would be there.

According to at least one source I read OTEOBR is supposed to be on the 5th disc with the workprint. Of course I can't find it now.

That's what I had heard. I'm disturbed that it isn't listed at digitalbits.

I would imagine both are floating around on torrent sites.

Thanks!

I tried before to find these documentaries on Youtube without any luck.

Actually between Paul Sammon's book, and the reported features of the "wiz-bang!" edition of BR, I'm not feeling like I missed out on something.

The closest thing I've heard about this was on the EZDVD listing that popped up a few months ago and it only said that the OTEOBR was "possibly" going to be on the fifth disc.

The digital bits have done a fantastic write up for our all time favorite film. the extent of the bonus contents is what grabs me. there is no doubt that i would buy the largest box set that i can lay my hands on (how else can i review it!)

as soon as Gary willoughby returns, I`ll update the home page to accommodate all the new information.

"The digital bits have done a fantastic write up..."

You mean the widely available press release they copied and pasted? Or have they added something new?

Digital Bits does not copy and paste their material from other sites.

Also:
We've been given exclusive access by Warner and the production team, which means that every month leading up to the title's street date we'll be posting new behind-the-scenes feature stories on the making of what promises to be THE DVD and high-def release of the year. So stay tuned starting next week for more!

Well I don't know about that, but I said they copied from Warner's widely-distributed press release (remarked on by a ton of sites yesterday), not from another site. I do hope they offer something exclusive in the future.
