Yes, I thought the same. I do not think we saw her die. Elle Driver (Daryl) will need a seeing eye-dog though.

Nice catch! Regardless of whether she died or not I am assuming you are referring to her style of thrashing around on the ground. I am not sure if that was intentionally dictated by Tarantino to resemble the scene in BR or not. He may have just told Hannah to "react" to having her (remaining) eye ripped out and she responded with the same style as her response to getting shot in BR. In other words, same actress so similar expression.

Hey, nice link, spinner44! Looking at the scenes back-to-back I guess I don't see them as being quite as similar as I remembered. IMO she did a good job in both. The Kill Bill scene was really good, but what always stuck with me about the BR scene was her pounding the floor with her fists as if in frustration at having to die. Just my interpretation/take.

I am sure it was intentional. All the references to old Kung Fu/Samurai movies were clearly intentional. QT is a film geek who loves references movies he loves in his own films. I think it is a safe bet it was intentional and I noticed this the first time I saw the film in the theater.

While Daryl Hannah very much dies like Pris, Rutger Hauer gets his head crushed in a familiar style in Sin City. What a coincidence!

As a fan of both BR and Kill Bill, I never realized that.

I think there might be a small homage to BR in 'Halloween' directed by BR fan Rob Zombie. Micheal takes Malcolm McDowell's head into his hands and sticks his thumbs in his eyes, but he doesn't kill him (if you haven't seen it yet sorry for the spoiler)

ridleynoir, that might be a possible reference or just unintentional. I wouldn't be surprised if Zombie was a fan of Blade Runner.

Rob is a very public fan. Has also been seen wearing Blade Runner patch and t-shirt. Not to mention his song "more human that human"

I see it now. Thanks Ridley. I've always enjoyed Zombie's music and The Devil's Rejects.
