Hey nice job Sean.
My only critics are that the streets are too clean, and the window texture gives away that it;s a bitmap.
perhaps some pre-rendered interior maps would do the trick.
but i hope that this whole image is still wip.

The texturing job on the buildings is very nice. :D

perhaps if you like i could send you some of my floor meshes that i've made for this scene.
see the trash container and some boxes.
there is eve a old tv

Wow! I had not seen this one before. Great detailing. I checked out your site again this morning. Some great model WIP's you have there!

Yes, the street model is still a WIP. I have many more details to add.
These are the first two buildings of a long street model to be used in various shots. Eventually, some of this will need to be integrated with live action.

I do have detailing meshes of the following:
>Street marker
>Street light
>Signal light
>Construction caution sign
>Barrel with flames
>Trash can with chinese graphitti
>Electric power box
>plastic trash bags

I still need to model (or trade for) the following:
>Garbage bin (large industrial kind)
>Buned out hulk of a sedan
>Piles of boxes with various textures
>newspaper dispenser
>magazine stand
>Soy-dog vendor & stand
>A rusty fire hydrant
>misc street signs (no parking, tow way zone, sector 4, reserved parking, stop, yeild, etc...)

Next time I go to Tokyo I will need to remember to take my digital camera and get more texture references.

Great thanks, Treybor.

These models of you i won't be able to use, since we're modeling for a real-time appication, some models will be even like 400 poly.
But if i could get a big render of them all, so i can use as concept art, the that would make my day. Is there anything that you would like to see in return?

I'll get some test renders done for you as soon as I can....

I did not realize you had moved from fan film to application. Cool!

It's still a fan film, but we make use of application for the most renders.

you're going to have quite the portfolio when this is all done.

are you guys going to be releasing these on DVD when it all comes out? a CGI W.I.P. gallery would be a cool bonus feature, along with those production photos you guys have on the site already.

speaking of the devil, lol. i just downloaded your BSG Viper mark 2 model and messed around with it in blender. i was showing it off to some friends just now. pretty impressive stuff you're doing.

so when can we expect episode 1 to arrive?

you should really do some high quality dvds, im sure selling them $15 a piece you could make a lot of money. just look at all the people who signed up for the BR SE petition. there's a big demand for more BR.

The director is sending out pre-postwork DVD's to get everyone's input on the episode as it stands now.... I expect I will have some CG updates to complete soon. I am on the last layer of the spinner chase scene. It should be done by this weekend.

I'm not sure if his film camera has been fixed yet, but there were some delays due to the fact it was broken and the fact two nasty hurricanes blew thought the gulf.

You're on the mailing list for the final cut, but the one bein sent out is for post production comments and critique... the general public will only get to see the finished episode....

More updates:

Here's a shot of Louies' Pizza a'la Blade Runner (thanks to Nathan Warden for loaning me the mesh)
Image

Nathan and his friends have loaned me several models to work with:
Metropolis Tribune by Bryon Hufford
Louie's Restaurant by NathanWarden
Michael's Bar by Motoki Nishii
Apartment Building by Justin Stockton

Here is composite shot for a view from a slum window.

And some frames from the spinner chase:

With the completion of the spinner chase, the final trailer should be ready.... We hope...
