The author of Future Noir, Paul Sammon, also wrote a filmography called RIDLEY SCOTT, THE MAKING OF HIS MOVIES.
He also has alot of cool comentary on the Gladiator DVD as well. I also find it ironic that the director of Traffic(steven S???) won the best director oscar(instead of ridley for gladiator)mainly because he also did the camera work. Which Ridly Scott used to do untill hollywood unions would't let him do it on BR and the rest of his films. SS did it by creating a fake name for himself and everybody said "wow how great!" when in fact he cheated.

If you study Gladiator very closely there is so many things that were a part of Conan the Barbarian, both are made like steel, both had jesus themes and anti-christ themes, both families were killed then they become a gladiator because people come by and take them, they are both good at it and work their way up, the original slogan for Conan was Gladiator, Thief, warrior King, sound familiar?, Both bad guys are obsessed with thinking they built who they had become, Same instruments are used in the music, and a lot of the epic camera shots look like Conan. Also both start with a battle. I could go on further but you get the point. I don't blame this on Ridley, i blame it on the hack writers.

Ridley Scott also directed the 1984 commercial for Apple back in 1984 (possibly the most famous comercial in the world), in your paper, you could say how he brought sci fi elements to the commercial and commercial world. Here's an article: http://www.isd.net/cmcalone/1984.html

yes, he did do thelma and louise (saw it a week ago) and 1492: conquest of paradise. you can go to the special features of the blde runner dvd to see what movies he did. he also did black hawk down, hannibal, and a few others i think.

also, if you want the apple commercial(it was only shown once, during the 1984 super bowl) you can download it from www.apple-history.com (im a big apple computer fan )

oh I've seen the 1984 commercial. "Today we celebrate the 1st glorious anniversary of the (something something) division. We have created for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology...." so on and so forth. I'd like to find a transcript of it?
