Roy's markings

I remember reading in "Future Noir" that Roy Batty had a series of tattoos that were originally intended to be markings for attachments, repair, etc. Does anyone have a decent pic of what those markings are?<BR><BR><font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: BenMund on 2002-08-12 05:09 ]</font>

I suppose you want to see it on the Web? Haven't got that scanned in at the moment, but I can do so soon unless someone happens to know where it is. There is a good pic which appears in the "Blade Runner: A Story of the Future" book which shows them really clearly. I think I've seen it elsewhere. Probably ought to scan it in for the FAQ anyway.

Hi, Several years ago I tracked down the fellow who owned the company who made all the tattoos for Blade Runner. If you look very closely at the film almost everyone had a tattoo of some kind. I guess I don't have to list them. Fred C. Blau was the fellows name and after 20 years he still remembered doing all the tattoos for the film imagine applying all the tattoos each day for shooting. But unfortunately he did not have a copy of the tattoos or remember what the symbolism was,of course.I cannot find any clear shots of Rutger's arms I know he had large tattoos on his shoulders.

Sounds like the makings of an interesting article! Have you thought abouy assembling what info you did get and writing a short piece?<BR><BR>Also, do you know of any other clear shots of portions of Roy's tattoos?

I'm thinking of doing a set of temporary tattoos replicating the ones on Roy. What does anyone think?

It would be nice to see some photos that we haven't seen many time before about the Batty tattoos. The ones on his upper arms are large and it would be interesting to see what they are. I'm sure Rutger could probably remember them even though vaguely...
