FAN MADE SHORT MOVIE JUST BEEN POSTED

Hey all,
I am a long time Blade runner fan and I hate to say that I am new to the forums. Glad to be here none the less thanks to Gary and the team. I just wanted to let you know we have just finished a short movie lasting approx 13mins on youtube (link below). It would be a great honour to get some input and comments from all the blade runner and blade zone fans.
The movie is an alternate beginning to Blade runner titled 'Blade Runner Origin'. It was originally story boarded for the movie but never made it in as a scene. I believe it has been called 'the farmhouse scene' - basically Deckards so called last retirement before quitting as a blade runner, you know the rest. We have just started a film production company and recently purchased some new gear, however, a challenge had been put to us by a bunch of our friends - could we use a low grade camera to shoot the above scene but in the end create the mood and atmosphere of Blade runner. We hope you enjoy the end result half as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Very cool. You guys certainly got the mood right, and also did a great job getting the music edited in there. I hope you try to do some more.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Its been great fun putting this together. I am so glad you felt we got the mood of the movie, that was an absolute must. That's a nice prequel!

I think you guys have some talent. It was all about the lighting for me. Build on your experience, come up with some original material, and keep making movies, even if you don't get that next generation camera right away. It's all about the process.

It's impossible to get cats to do what you want, but that "looking away" shot is perfect...it reminds me so much of the Tyrell owl.

p.s. Beautiful lighting, and the soundtrack editing works seamlessly. Maybe I should have said this first.

Thanks for the comments. Everything seemed to fall in place for us when we put this together, one of those times when you are doing something you love and the pieces fall in place. However, the images captured were second place to the editing skills of my best bud Martin. He has a talent for that stuff. Check out the vid below of a piece he put together filmed in a seaside village in Ireland. Beautiful stuff.
