watching the making of Dangerous Days I noticed that there was a nearly 4h Version of the Film that was shown to the team.... "... its great but what the fuck does it mean ?"

after that the voice over option came in.

I wonder if this 4h hour version does still exist ? Must be very exciting I mean 4h blade runner material?!! on the bonus dvd we get only 10min deleted scenes or so... there must be a lot more of unused material ?!

10 minutes? The deleted scenes section is 47 minutes long. That's not counting the dozens of deleted and alternate snippets scattered across the extras on the 5-disc set.

When they talk about a 4-hour cut, they're probably referring to one of the initial assembly cuts of the film. Also, it's possible that the 4-hour length is an exaggeration. It's very unlikely something like that has survived. But I agree that it would be awesome to see a version that rough and long.

Truly. People also talk about a 4-hour cut of ALIEN. And really, I just gotta say... really?

The longest cut of Alien that I've heard of is about 3 hours as mentioned on the Quadrilogy making of disc.

But Jerry Goldsmith wrote his original score to a 128 minute version, which is one of the reasons that much of his superb score was missing from the finished film.

i can beat that - pink floyd the wall had some 60+ hours of footage!

a similar scenario was the negative shot for apocalypse now.
