Deckard carrying nothing? Possible goof?

Take a look to this cap from Final Cut:

Is suposed that Deckard are carrying something out the briefcase.... The VK machine perhaps? Well, I only see they hands empty.... :D

I've seen it several times, and Ford hands are ever empty... :D

My guess is that they had the VK already wired up for that take, and he had to mime taking it out of the case. They may have believed since it was so far away we would notice. They could have even done quite a few takes already and they were just working it when HF did it to try out the move. Depending on angles in this movie, props move around, or change altogether. The funny thing with the goofs and continuity errors is how few people notice then and how long it took to notice. Makes us question our own memories, just as the movie does with the replicants.

Yes, they could repair it in FC and insert something between his hands digitally. Or perhaps Charles, Rid and Co. have decxided to let it go, because it is "loved goof"?
