I had to sign up to reply to this. The line that blew me away from day one:

Seriously though, great mentions from everyone. Here are two of my faves:

"Fiery the angels fell. Deep thunder rolled around their shores, burning with the fires of Orc."

It's so strange the way this quote from Blake comes from totally out of nowhere in BR, and is used in a scene where the person it's being spoken to (the aged Asian eyemaker Chew) most likely doesn't know what the hell it even means! But the sheer surrealism of it draws you into the movie: It tells the audience that the character of Roy has either educated himself or had advanced intellectual implants given to him, is existing at a very elevated level of intellectual insight/outlook, has extremely dark motivations (somewhere between revenge and self-preservation), and also has a pretty mischevious and perverse sense of humor. To me, this line is every bit as beautifully strange and unconventional as Deckard's unicorn dream, and it's Ridley Scott as his most intuitively brilliant. (I love the bit in the Ultimate Collection documentaries where the production designers recall demanding explanations from Scott about *why* he wanted things in BR to be the way he was asking for them, and Scott replied, "you're asking me to give you a rational reason for my aesthetic choices, and I can't do that.")

And the audience's fave during most of the times I've seen BR in the theater:

"Okay, bad joke. It was a bad joke. You're not a replicant. Go home. Okay?"

A few more:

"After all, they are emotionally inexperienced, with only a few years to store up the experiences which you and I take for granted; if we gift them with a past, we create a cushion or pillow for their emotions, and consequently we can control them better."

SO incredibly well written. Notice the "which you and I take for granted," and "consequently we can control them better": tells you all you need to know about Tyrell and his callous, inhuman outlook and motivations - the *real* underlying meaning behind "Commerce is our goal here at Tyrell" - and does it so well, that you don't even need to see Tyrell until an hour later in the movie, only his second and his last scene in the entire story. (Interesting how Tyrell only has two scenes in BR, but at the same time, he's really in every scene.) And on that note:

"You could call it commerce, or you could call it growing slaves, depending on whether you were polite or not."

"Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave."

HAHAHA, you're a funny man sonny.

Imagine Deckard saying "bada-bing bada-boom!" when talking about retiring skin-jobs.

Favorite lines from BR?

Tears in rain, and...well, its hard to pick a second...maybe the entire rest of the film.
