Anyone else have problems with Amazon delivery of the DVD's?

My wife pre-ordered the set in the briefcase for me back in July, within three days of its announcement.

The release date was 12/18, it is supposed to finally arrive this week.

I was extremely dismayed that it did not arrive for Christmas.

Anyone else have bad luck with this?

Mike

What shipping method did you use?

Though I'm in Canada, I ordered from Amazon US for the better price, with a delivery date of December 21 (with Expedited International Shipping). It shipped on the 15th, and the confirmation email now had a new delivery date of January 4!

So it's apparently been on the road for nearly two weeks, and there's no tracking information appearing on the web. I broke down and rented the two-discer last night!

I took the free shipping which said it would not arrive untill after Christmas, but I got it in my P.O. box Christmas eve.

I ordered the briefcase early and it actually arrived in the UK on the day of the release. Not sure how that happened but Amazon were Amazing for me.

The briefcase (and DVDs) that's for sale in the US say that they are not for sale outside of the US and Canada. Neat that you could still get it from Amazon though.

My experience with Amazon was an ultra-smooth ride. They promised the briefcase 1/2, I got it 12/29. Why I didn't put in my pre-order with them, I'll never know. I guess it was the idea that Seattle was farther away than Burbank, and that I'd be likely to get the briefcase quicker...who knew?

Seriously, though...they are the premier web commerce site for a reason.

I will check with my wife, she ordered it for me as a Christmas present.

But the real deal is....

They did not ship it for days after the release date-it was shipped 12/21.

I am confused that when it is ordered within three days of the announcement of it that I am not in the front of the queue for shipping.

However, it did show up on 12/27 and I love it already.

Amazon's free shipping does come at a price sometimes. I've had several in-stock items just sit there for a week or more. Yet there are times when my pre-orders arrive the day of release or one day after. However, my BR briefcase arrived the day after Christmas. :(

I ordered my briefcase July 28.
Amazon promised delivery for after Jan 8
It arrived Dec 27.

Love Amazon.com although I wish I had a serial number to reflect my early order (my SN is 63100)

I pre-ordered mine in early Dec and got it by the 24th. Free shipping option.

No problems. I didn't expect it until 27th or so.
