Nina Axelrod

I'm always a sucker for alternate casting ideas, the "what if" of it all I find fascinating. Seeing Nina Axelrod's screen test really blew me away...she was gorgeous imho and seemed to get the character. Don't get me wrong I adore Sean Young but I cant help but wonder what the film would have been like had Ridley gone w/Nina instead.

I think that was problem, though. It was too sexual and Rachael is suppose to be innocent and inept to those kinds of situation....a virgin, if you say, which is why Sean Young suited the role better.

But what if, right?

Do you have a picture of this woman because I didn't find a picture on Google? Thanks in advance.

I liked those screen tests as well and although I thought Nina was very pretty, I think they definitely made the right choice in going with Sean Young. She had a stately, statuesque quality to her that made her look like she might be a manufactured human being and she had a real presence on screen that really set her apart.

I have to say though, that I didn't even recognize Nina Axelrod when she appeared in the current day interview. I first thought she was someone talking about Nina. I wonder how her career may have been altered if she would have gotten the role.
