Can anybody tell me what the name of the Batman Animated episode was where J.F. Sebastion (or a character exactly like him, same hat and everything) appeared?
Also can you name any other movies/TV shows that directly reference Blade Runner (e.g. Total Recall 2070, Akira etc.)

Thanks,
The Dark Knight

Some others that come to mind are:

Bubblegum Crisis (Japanese anime)

Trancers (a series of B rated movies from the mid '80's whose main character, Jack Death, is the spitting image of Deckard)

Soldier, with Kurt Russell (a supposed "side-quel" that in my opinion was lame.)

I wouldn't even mention the likes of 'Soldier' in a forum devoted to Blade Runner, theres that much of a difference in quality.
By cameos I mean not just movies that have the 'look' of Blade Runner, but characters from Blade Runner playing the same parts in different movies/TV shows/adverts.
Batman Animated: I'm pretty sure it was William Sanderson doing the voice of a character that looked the same as J.F. Sebastion.
Akira: Not only set in 2019 but contains a building straight from Blade Runner.
Total Recall 2070: Instead of mimicking the style of the Total Recall movie, this was a complete rip-off of Blade Runner, right down to a character that was exactly like Gaff.
Max Headroom TV series: The look of this was simply inspired by Blade Runner.

I agree with you about Soldier.

In The Bubblegum Crisis, the main girl's name is Pris. She's the lead singer of an all girl rock band called "The Replicants". There's a young detective whose name is Leon, and the police HQ is the excact round shape like the one in BR. The bad guy's (Geom Tech) building is in the shape of a pyramid.

Thanks..I must try and get a hold of The Bubblegum Crisis now. Interesting how so many movies/adverts/TV shows referenced Blade Runner (and still do).

Found this on the Bladezone site, William Sanderson played a character called Karl Rossum on the animated Batman series. I will try and find some pics on the net..

OK I managed to record the Batman Animated Episode in question off SKY 1. Its called Heart of Steel. William Sanderson plays the head of Cybertron industries, with outlandish robotic inventions sincluding the lifelike A.I. Duplicants..
Em, I didn't see him wear a hat and though the character Karl Rossum looks like William Sanderson in a suit, it doesn't look like J.F.
Still obvious homages there at least..
