Has anyone actually read Blade Runner??

The Alan E. Nourse novel was the source of the title. Has any one ever even seen this book?

I've never seen this book, however I found a site that lets you purchase copies from people.

There was a screenplay based on the Alan E. Nourse novel by William H. Bouroughs (Naked Lunch). They bought the rights for the name from him for 'our' version of the movie, based on Phillip K. Dick's book. Man that was a lot of middle initials.

Yes i've read this. It is a futiristic story where medical care becomes a tremendous issue. The middle class can no longer afford it, but dependents of the welfare state are lavishly immersed in medical care. There is a rioteously funny section where one of these recipients dials 911 cuz he has an ice cream headache. This really is no laughing matter because these prophetic happenstances are occurring in reality today.

From what I gleaned from Sammons book i believe Burroughs and Nourse each got $5000.
