I'm new to the board, but have visiting this site for a long time. Big fan. Anyway, as a hardcore BR fan(i watch at least once a month), I almost lost it when I did a search on Morpheus for BR. One of the results was the full scene! Sleighbed and stupid Treasure Island dialogue and all. The res isn't too great, but I can't believe after years of hearing about it, I finally saw the damn thing.

You could have saved yourself the search by checking the downloads section at BRmovie.com
Well, it is possible that she (?) saw it AT YOUR WEBSITE, BRmovie... never tought of it?

Anyway, what I intend to say is: What make us big fans is that we are ready to spend some of our time searching. Maybe some people here knows much more about Blade Runner than others, but how did they get to that point? The knowledge didn't came in a cornflakes box.

Never save yourself a search.

***

I share the emotion with you, rexmarina. it is always exciting when one discovers something one has been expecting a long time to find. Welcome to the forums.

I apologise for my comment - I am suffering badly from flu this week and my brain is only barely functioning. What I wrote was very ill-worded.

I applaud everyone who spends any effort searching for Blade Runner stuff. Indeed, BRmovie.com itself only exists because of collaborative effort, much like BladeZone. And, if you should care to pop by, you'll find some new info added today on the Blade Runner Special Edition.
I have downloaded and viewed the hospital scene. I must admit that the dialog is a bit hokey ("Whatcha readin'?" "Ol' favorite...'Treasure Island!'"...oh brother!), but it was nice to see it anyway.

Thanks for the link. It's a bit out of place having seen the movie so many times without it, but I think it could have added some sense to the narrative early on, granted they worked on the dialogue a little more.

Where did you get the dream one? Allthough it is made from the original, just with the Unicorn in a differnt place (isn't it?), as the original 'looking at photos whiles drifting into a dram' sequence was longer, as said in Future Noir. But it was cool nevertheless.

It is amazing what one can find floating around in cyberspace!

The unicorn dream cut would appear to represent the cut as described in FN, (although it is not original obviously), however, I wouldn't be surprised if RS actually does this form of cut with the Special Edition, although with different original footage (which has now been found).
To be honest I'm glad they cut 'Holden in the Hospital' but obviously it'll make a nice deleted scene on the DVD (and how many more deleted scenes?)..only about 7 months to go!

Agreed that the hospital scene was cut for a good reason which remains valid. I'm certainly hoping for a decent sized deleted scenes section given they found a whole load of boxes of original negatives!
