i mean that in a good way.

back in the day when i used to listen to the soundtrack all the time, i discovered that it helped me go to sleep at times when i couldn't. i always wondered if it had the same effects on people.

in no way am i discrediting the beauty of this music because when i'm full conscious, i appreciate the ambiance and sad nature of the music. very inspirational.

Actually, I know exactly what you mean, eccentricbeing.
I travel to Europe alot, and the excitement, jet lag, hotel rooms, etc., can leave a person restless.Even when I'm exhausted.
BladeRunner to the rescue! I retreat inside the noirish sounds of the BR world and finally relax. Never leave home without it 8)

That sounds pretty neat. I used to sleep to Vangeli's Reve every night.

Should try that again.

I confess: I've always enjoyed the New American Orchestra recording for this purpose, as well! :)

good topic. i have gone to sleep to the Gongo version countless times. on a side note, it is also a good soundtrack for those sleepless nights ... ahem, when one is not alone. i think you know what i mean - when that saxophone kicks in... they even ran that track on a Victoria's Secret commercial so i can't be alone!

Wow... That would put me to sleep fer sure, I think. I must confess, I've never listened to it, though. Must be like the difference between seeing a great band in concert, or seeing a tribute band. :P

Hey, photek - I remember that Vic.Secret's commercial, now that you mention it. Was it ever discussed on the boards? hmm
It wasn't that long ago, was it? A few years maybe?

BR Blues all the way - i actually turn the game on sometimes, send McCoy to the balcony ... and leave him there. It never gets old!

Hey Gene Ettix - thanks for backing me up there. I would say less than 3 years. I remember hearing it, freaking out, and telling my girlfriend to come into the room - not to see those naughty vixens, but I remember asking her "do you know where thats from?" we've been together 3 years so it could have aired sooner but i would safely say in the last 2-3 years. Did a quick check and it seems to be from the "Dream Angels" series of commercials but i couldn't find the video on youtube or google. might be a good new thread topic - i am sure we can track this commercial down!

Frank Klepacki's rendition of the BR Blues pieces is very faithful, and very well done. I love his work.

This was mentioned in a very old thread. I think everyone who owns the game thouroughly enjoys that scene :)

I thought I might oblige you, photek, and start a new thread... with proof.
