Has the original 1982 released version of Blade Runner ever been released on dvd, you know the one with the voice over that everyone appears to hate? I actually prefer this version without the added unicorn bits, which look like they have been added from Legend.

They Unicorn bits were not from Legend. They were specifically shot for Blade Runner.
Why do people keep perpetuating this old myth? Ugh.

Heh, just the opposite for my brother. We were talking to my cousin about the original "happy ending" and he was saying, "in the original end, it showed deckard and rachel driving off into the sunset hellicopter style like on the shining." Earlier on in the conversation, he was talking about the unicorn scene, and he was like, "it looks like something from another movie, but I don't know what it is." I guess he's never seen Legend.

hate to be so picky guys...but this bugs me. the original U.S. theatrical version of BR has never been on home video...EVER. The only versions to be legaly released on any home video format are the European version (the one everyone thinks is the US version ) and the directors cut. Thats it. Dont beleive me...look it up.

Don't believe you?
This is the one place on the web where people are going to notice that the same coat rack from one scene appears in another. Not only that, they'll then find out the maker and website where you can buy it.
Trust me. We know all about the different versions.

The U.S. Theatrical is basicly the one shown on television minus some nudity and language. The U.S. Version was also available on laser disc though it was called the "unrated" version.
