How many shots were fired?
Posted: Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:35 pmI was given a tough mission to try to notice how many shots were fired in this movie. I own the Director's Cut DVD, no others.
Compared to others, it's really impossible because of the machine guns, BR is one of few films that has very few shots and that's why I don't see this film as an actionmovie, which some "naysayers" do.
In the Director's Cut I noticed:
12 gunshots were fired.
13 gunshots were heard (if you count the one gunshot echoed outside the spinner/car in the tunnel)
... but here I'm little confused
When Leon Kowalski killed Holden he fired, I think, 3 or 2 shots. It was hard to notice among the noice which went like an echo, but I clearly heard 2 shots: one under the table and one sending Holden away, but somewhere in between I don't know if there was a third shot. If there were 3 shots in the opening scene then I could write
13 shots were fired.
14 shots were heard in the Director's Cut (if you count the one gunshot echoed outside the spinner/car in the tunnel)

Zhora was killed by 4 shots
Leon was killed by 1 shot, by Rachael
Pris needed 2 bullets
3 shots I could hear in the Bradbury Building. Roy gave Rick an experience to live in fear before time came before him.
Not sure about these at all, I might missed some. Help me with this please.
