Hi there! I'm new to this board but defintely not new to BR. I've been an obsessed girl since I was 13. I'm not going to begin to explain the severity of my obsession but you'll soon get the idea.

I've been a fan of this site for a long time but am too busy to post to boards most of the time but today everything changes! So I am saying hello to all my fellow BR fanatics.

So how obsessed am I? Besides relating my entire life to BR? I am in the middle of finally getting my Bladerunner tattoo sleeve. Its my whole left arm from shoulder to elbow. I've waited over 10 years to do it and I finally did. I will post pictures of it as soon as its done. Many people think I've gone too far but for me there's no such thing! How many of us ever really live?

BTW, here is a pic of me with Joe at Chiller in October (yay!):
Hi SKINJOB, welcome to the forums!
BTW, you better watch yourself around Tyrell, he's a crafty one(after all, he designed your brain:)
I know! When I met him both of us were working the Chiller Theater convention. I was having breakfast when Jamie Farr sits down across from me and start talking to me (hahah, I had to honestly tell him I had no idea who he was...he said "well, I was on a little television show called MASH" hhahah, well he looks nothing like he used to!) and in walks JOE! They're old friends so as soon as he walks in he exclaims Jamies name and b-lines it for our table (yay!) So Jamie introduces us, he kisses my hand (sly devil) and starts to tell me I might remember him from The Shining. I'm sitting there mouth agape...shaking his hand with both of mine..."You're Joe Turkel....yeah, you were Lloyd the bartender but who cares..you are TYRELL!!!" A big grin works it way across his face and he says "You like Bladerunner?" excitedly, and I replied "Oh, so much I cannot impart to you how deeply obsessed with it I am". At this point I realized I was still shaking his hand....He was so happy, he sat right down and we talked at length about BR, he still loves it very much and for the rest of the weekend he was calling me his wife and giving me kisses every time we ran into eachother, it was so cute! Also, he signed something to me "You have always been my favorite replicant"...that made my YEAR!

Incidentally, Joe also feels that Deckard is a replicant. So that's one for our team kids!

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME EVERYONE! There may not be many women on the boards but I am here to shake things up a bit!
Actually, Turkell quit acting after The Shining..he is a fantastic actor. Sean Young did her fair share of acting after BR as well...just because they didn't reach superstardom and start doing shitty movies like 'What Lies Beneath", doesn't mean they are not accomplished actors. Ford already had a career before BR, he was in a little series of features called Star Wars or something like that.....

thanks an awesome story Skinjob! I have some celtic tattoos (100% Irish Ancestry) a couple knotwork bands on my arms, a celtic cross on my shoulder, the tree of life over my heart and a celtic/tribal sun fusion at the base of my spine. What kind of tattoo do you plan on getting?

He already was a large part of two sucessful franchises (Indy and Star Wars) Id say it already took off by the time BR came.
I've already started it. Its more than halfway done. I had a really talented tattooer design it to go all the way around my arm. Its more of a comic book style look than realism..I didn't want any actual actors faces..its dark and very noir. I will post pics as soon as its done. But here's a sneak peek at the bottom half of my outer arm:
as for Joe acting, I'm sure he was in that too..he just told me he pretty much quit after those movies. Btw, good to meet some other inky people on the board! Post some pics of your work if you've got them..

Hi and welcome.

That's a pretty extensive tattoo. How long did it take?

Okay guys, who's gonna volunteer to get 'tattooed up' like Roy Batty? Wouldn't that be cool - obviously I'm exempt from the exercise, being a coward and all...
