Is Toyko the closest thing to a modern day BR city?

I know the BR city design was influenced by certain sections of Tokyo. However, when I view pics or video of Tokyo, it has the crowds, neon lights, etc., but it just seems too clean. Hong Kong on the other hand seems to be lower tech but has a grittier atmosphere, and I guess this can be said about certain other cities in Asia as well.

Anyone been to Tokyo, or any other BR like city? Did certain areas stand out which closely resembled BR?

Also, I did find a pic of an alleyway in Tokyo that is very BR like.

Yes, Wan Chai is in Hong Kong, but what I wrote was what I first thought upon seeing the pic!

lol. okay. but wheres that annoying little kid with the hat? "i will tell them you are a spy, and they will kill you."

i think if BR fans want a BR city, we should all just migrate to seatle and take over the city, installing neon signs, futuristic crosswalks, parking meters, and hire some bicycle riders to ride around in pyramid hats.
