You may think this may be stupid or a waste of time but I am actually going to write a screenplay for a blade runner sequal. your all probablly thinking oh no we dont want a sequal but how many of you read the blade runner novels which follow on from the film (ie replicant nights) my script is going to follow these novels, or it may not be a sequal as such but based on the game and set at the same time as the original. Once I have decided a trailer will be done to whet your appetite.

I always thought an exploration of Replicant exsistence in the OffWorld colonies would be interesting. Or even a subplot exploring religion in a society that essentially creates life. It's not that far off and I'm curious as to the ACTUAL reaction of organized religion to such events.

really the religious cults didnt come into alot until the third book it was only slightly seen a little in the second but there should be alot of off world replicants in the third as deckard is actually offworld

Do you really think Jetter's "sequels" are good?

I've read all the sequels and didn't really care for them.

I've read Jeter's Blade Runner novels and while I think they are well-written(from a technical, writing point-of-view), but I think they lack a certain visceral, emotional energy. I hope those who attempt to write some type of sequel or prequel or "sidequel" take great pains to do it "right!" <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Yes, Sir. I say that's just absolutely ( and Politikally <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> ) correct. Although I would very much like to see a sequel, sequels suck, for example, starwars episode 1.<BR><BR>_________________<BR>"If only you could see what I have seen with your eyes."<BR><BR><font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Nexus6 on 2001-12-11 19:20 ]</font>

Gotta agree with Cen and Politiko here. Just becasue someone has a different opinion to you does NOT give you the right to have an all out yell at them. Seriously, you had some good comments in the past but this past post has made atleast my personal opinion of you SINK!<BR><BR>Paul

I don't think it's "stupid" or a "waste of time". It's a free country, knock yourself out. I just know I wouldn't walk across the street to watch it for free. I love BLADE RUNNER, by RIDLEY SCOTT, not Blade Runner 2 or Blade Runner 0.5 by smendrick666.<BR><BR>That's why I'm in this forum. That's why my artwork is on this site. Nuff said.

The Blade Runner sequel screenplay based on Jeter's first BR book was written years ago and nobody was intersted in making it. I doubt anything has changed.<BR>
