Honestly, works just fine for me either way. Much like the narrated versus the non-narrated, versus the semi-narrated versions, I love all of them because they are still Blade Runner.

I honestly don't have a preference.
Name is Noeland, not Eli. But I played Eli once in a movie . . .

Awsome! I think Hoodies have become the new T-shirts, but I am still somewhat old school.

I don't wear hoodies, but I'd wear that if it was made.

Will those embroidered areas be patches or direct embroidery on the hoodie? Because while I don't think I'd be interested in the hoodie itself, the Police 995 and Police Eagle patches would be really helpful in a costuming project I have been pondering.

If you get some extra patches in the process of putting this out, Charles, please let me know. I'll be interested in them.
Yes, I really live in Los Angeles. Srsly. And yeah, life really does imitate art here. Especially now we've got those video billboards. No spinners yet. But I suppose that's next.

Hey Charles, I really like the idea of a Blade Runner hoodie! I just don't think the design you present is all that great.

In my humble opinion the use of color seems wrong to me, even for the badges. And I'm not sure if I like the back side BR logo font. (At least for the blue hood design.) An all black hoodie seems more fitting, with yellow, reds and grays for logos and badges. But I know you were going for the spinner theme, as something a spinner pilot would wear... I just don't know about this current design.

Still, if I ever got to see the final product as-is, I'd probably buy it anyway!

msgeek: Yes, those were intended to be embroidered, but directly into the hoodie, and not as patches. There's a ton of really cool graphics designed for the film by Tom Southwell that would make for all kinds of great patches, t-shirts, etc. Oh well, we can dream...

I hear the BR Partnership doesn't let licenses for anything. Not unless it is a big bucks deal. It seems like all the little money making ideas are a waste of their time.

I'm sure you've been paying attention to the per-screen average for BR:FC. Warner Bros. needs to sit up and take notice that there is a phenomenon brewing here. And yes, the fans who have been packing the showings are going to be wanting merch. Lots and lots of merch.

One of my dream merch items is Hasbro putting out a Nerf gun based on the Hero Blaster. Yes, I know that a comparison to Star Wars is kind of like apples and fleas but they did a great job with the Rebel Fleet Trooper Nerf Blaster. The Clone Blaster, not so much, but you can't win 'em all. The RFT Nerf is smaller than the screen props, but it's well-proportioned. It's so good the Rebel Legion accepts it as a sidearm for the RFT costume. The existing configuration of the Nitefinder Nerf gun is somewhat close, to where they would just have to resculpt on top of a Nitefinder to build one. The second trigger could be rigged to maybe shoot a hidden Nerf dart, for example. You'd have to have the pull rod in the back to cock the thing but I'm sure it could be designed so that it would look right.

Yeah, fat chance of that happening.

But still, Warner Bros. should look closely at merch. There are people like Spinner44 who are incredible designers...I think he did your "Final" shirts. WB should tap this reserve of talent and put some BR:FC merch out based on designs like yours and like Spinner's. It would be nice to see this lost artwork made available. WB has an excellent merch department that usually (gangsta Looney Tunes t-shirts notwithstanding) does well by their "properties." The Briefcase is another fine example of WB Merchandising at their best. Awesome.

WB has a phenomenon on their hands. Hopefully they won't blow it this time.
