Anyone ever see the original Blade Runner Movie on VHS...I

the first time i watched blade runner was a vhs rental, being played on a baird video recorder which was bigger than 4 dvd players put together. the remote was also on a long wire..
after 3 loading attempts and plenty of head cleaning, i watched the film. and again and again. i was hooked. i had never seen anything like this since some 7 years earlier, when starwars was all the rage. at the age of 16, i dont think i woud have had the same trouble understanding like any other test audience did. i took to the film straight away. i was amazed when i found out years later, it was a `disaster movie`
As for the voice over.... its a tough one, but personally i like it with and without. the arrogance or cockiness in his voice is great. Did ford really do that as bad as he could? the almost monotone voice he used probably couldnt have been recorded better any other way. "i knew the lingo every good cop did, but i wasnt gonna make it easier for him" - pure class.
Ive owned the VHS, own the original DVD and even owven a double sided CAV laserdisc version of blade runner, but yet to see it in HD. I`ll think i`ll wait untill ive seen the new cut, and i would very much like to buy the new set as and when it becomes avail.

Wow look at the date of this topic...since that time I have learned my
VHS original embassy cannot be copied, it is write protected and that's why the quality is poor. I have read several books on blade runner including Noir and the original by PDick
I got an original criterion laser disc for less than $20 off of E-bay
I have the directors cut on VHS
I have 2 DVD's of the Directors cut
I have the enhanced version fo the directors cut which really opened my eyes to A LOT of things I missed due to quality..
Can't wiat for the 25th anniversary re-release and anniversary sets....

You should try finding a beta copy. Truly 80s authentic!
The extended cut that is on beta is at least as good as any VHS. I got it on beta for a specific reason: I was buying it on ebay.
I knew it would not be a modern version since it was in the box.

I have the International Cut on VHS. It's 20 years old this year and in perfect mint condition... the tape and the box (no, it's not for sale 
) I opened it a long time ago but, I just took the clear cellophane plastic off the box about a year ago. Unfortunately, it's the Nelson and not the Embassy.
Something I really like is my tape of the Original American Theatrical Release in Letterbox Widescreen. Recorded it from the Sci-Fi Channel about 5 years ago. I'm sure it's the old Laser Disc version (Criterion?)
May as well mention that I have a BR LD : It's the 4-sided Warner Home Video DC (1993) $8.00 @ comic book & collectables store.
