Welcome to a message board infested by Blade Runner geeks. Ya tend to get defensive about what you believe in regards to your favorite movie, ya know?

It has nothing to do with this board. Opinionated and defensive people are everywhere. Actually I would expect fans of a mature, thoughtfull and Intellegent movie to be more open minded and objective.

I agree with that in most cases. I would prefer many of the questions posed in the film to be ambiguous enough to allow everyone their own interpretation (I would have rather never known definitively whether Deckard was human or replicant). This is an exception for me because I'm wondering if I'm hearing things/am crazy (On second thought, it might be better not to know that ).

Not what I meant. I meant that some people get more defense or offensive about things like this, especially in groups that aren't, say, 40,000+ people in one place.

I agree on your open-minded bit, to an extent. But when you believe something so strongly, it can be very difficult to swallow an opinion or view that is completely different from what you're used to. This is undeniable. However, as long as people just listen to each other, we're ok.

When this movie came out it seemed people were encouraged to be different. Now days it seems that people have to be the same and pick a side or be left out. I personaly like living with paradoxes. It reminds me that no matter how much we know, we never know everything. That we are allowed to transform ourselves and the world around us, and that perception is an individual thing.

I don't know about saying "Kinsmen" or "Kingship", but I DO think that the sudden strain of having to hold grown man in mid air with one arm probably made Roy fart.

I had given up. At least, I thought I had.

Deckard shouting boobies? Roy farting?

You guys are nuts. :P
