Centauro wrote:I've learned not to trust that much in imdb.com... though a mostly reliable site, they are not God's word and quite often you can spot inacuracies. Example from the goof link Masao provided:

# Errors in geography: When Deckard approaches Tyrell's office in the spinner, we see him land on top of the pyramidal building with angled buildings on each side. But once inside, that same group of buildings can be seen in the distance outside Tyrell's office window.

If they pay that much atention, they should've seen there are TWO frickin pyramids. One Deckard is IN, and One he SEES through the window. One plus one, equals two.

Continuity: When Pris meets Sebastian, the visible words on the marquee on the Million Dollar Theatre change from "Azores Garcia...Vidas" to "Los Mimilo Co..Mazacote Y Orque".

There is no such thing as Azores Garc?a. The marquee reads "Andres Garc?a" a well known mexican actor, which starred in "El Siete Vidas" (Mr. Seven Lives). The continuity goof is still valid, nonetheless.

# Revealing mistakes: When Roy Batty, and Leon enter "Eye World"...

Now I have the chance to ask this forgotten bit of doubt, is it "EyeWorld" or "EyeWorks"?

# Plot holes: Near the end of the final scene of the film, when Deckard is fighting Roy, Deckard goes into an abandoned apartment filled with pigeons. The movie clearly states that real animals are worth millions if not billions because they are near extinction. Thus there would not be an apartment worth billions of dollars worth of pigeons, someone would have taken them for profit.

Where does it say explicitly that these are not animoid doves that escaped some merchant? I always asumed that upon first glance. Or they could be defective animoids that were just left on their own by the maker who couldn't be bothered to properly dispose of them.

#Revealing mistakes: During the fight scene between Deckard and Leon there's a point where Deckard gets thrown into the windshield of a car. However, when he is thrown and still in the air you can clearly see the windshield is already smashed with the imprint of his body, before he ever hits the actual glass.

Do windshields only break when human bodies are thrown against them? Lots of stuff looks broken and old in LA2019, without the characters intervention.

It seems sometimes they push it a little too much to spot goofs which aren't even there, or are subject to interpretation as actual goofs.

I'm fairly certain it's "Eye World".

The film does not actually state the value of animals.

The windshield was INTENTIONALLY broken by the art staff because the car was a derelict. I don't know how many times I've told the IMDB.com staff that's not a f*cking error.

One thing I forgot to mention, and I am super suprized no one else has, is that Zhora's(Joanna Cassidy's) eyes move when the cops mover the head of her dead body lying on the side walk. Joanna can not hold her eyes in fixed position when they move her head, and they naturally track. It is nearly impossible to keep your eyes fixed when your head moves. It is almost a reflex. I never noticed it until recently in the movie, but I can't help but see it now.

Yup, I've seen it to. One of those subtle things.

BTW, why hasn't anyone mentioned that Gaff's Spinner lands in an obvious error at the end of the film...if it was not a truly clever part of the story.

The Spinner lands in flight mode!

Well, like I said, there are no errors. My sequel recognizes this fact. I solved it!

:D

I am the first to solve Ridley's puzzle! What do I win?

I have to agree about IMDB. I know a couple of actors whose entries they have yet to get around to fixing...even after 3 years! Oh well, they have been told.

I am glad that they do have extensive info on BR though.
