i agree sharing is the key. as far as illegal - doesnt it typically revolve around copyright infringement? since these are primarily bootlegs we are dealing with here, they are for the most part not sanctioned. if they cant be legally sold (ergo - people arent losing money, and screw the greedy people on ebay who ARE doing something overtly illegal) then to share i would think isnt the crime of the century...
i get alot of bootlegs, but i trade in kind and never does money change hands. the key thing is we usually tag a line like "not for sale/ for promotional purposes only." i am sure there are even rules about that - but sharing bootlegs if nothing else, only devalues or dilutes their blackmarket value right?

Alot of people seem to be asking questions about extracting the songs from the game and arn't having alot of success with doing so, so maybe I will write a tutorial on how too.

Bootleging is fine as long as the songs wern't taken from an official CD release, converting them to mp3 and putting them up on a P2P program IS legal.
As for this whole sharing thing, I think it's perfectly fine. If authorities have a problem with it, then major P2P prgrams and Bittorrent would have been shut down along time ago and millions of arrests would have been made worldwide!
Popular TV music award shows like MTV & Vibe are adding in new segments for most downloaded song for that year, so I think most people are ok with music downloading.
