Blade Runner - A to Z (Extra)

Okay, I've got a bit of time to kill before I go to bed.

Let's play a game.

Run through the alphabet posting Blade Runner related definitions beginning with that letter.

BUT there ARE rules (read carefully before posting):

1. The definition must refer to the Blade Runner theme - it can be from the book, film or game and can be a distinctive object, a character (not actor), a company name or logo, a concept, a term, a phrase or anything else that has an obvious connection to Blade Runner.
2. You have to define the next letter in the alphabet - if it's on 'Z' then back to 'A'
3. You can not use a term that already appears on the BRMovie Encyclopedia (makes it tricky)
4. You can not post more than one definition at a time
5. You can not post twice in a row - you have to wait for someone else to post before you can post again
6. If a definition breaks a rule, then it and the following posts are deleted and a new definition will be required in place of the invalid one. Any deleted posts that were valid can be re-posted.
7. I decide what is valid and invalid - I will listen to other comments, though

Why am I doing this? - Dunno, sounded like a good idea at the time.

I do realise that this little 'game' could end up being a 'damp squib', but hey, "nothing ventured, nothing gained."


I'll Start:

A - "Accelerated Decrepitude" - JF's condition as described by Pris in the movie.


How tricky will 'B' be?

B: "Buster Friendly" Taken from PKD book, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". Referring to sort of non-stop television show that provides an alternative reality for many people. Keeps/makes people "happy".

C: Cop - as in opposite of little people

Bryant: Wait right there! You know the score pal! If you're not cop, you're little people!

That's the spirit!

D - Dragonfly Earring - Big clue in the game.

E - Early Q. (Game) Club Owner and pimp in the 4th Sector. bar-steward.

F: The Father/Fucker thing.

G is for Gaff.

Oops. That breaks rule # 3 - but I'll let you off for a first offense

H: Human --as in defining the boundry between man and machine. A theme in PKD novels.

I - IQ Test - Leon has already had one this year...

J - Japanese

As in the Japanese girl on the giant view screen and one of the languages that makes up Cityspeak.

Darn! After I submitted for "I", I noticed you beat me to it.

Looking for a 'J' then...

You'll have to save the 'I' for the next time round - I have a 'J' but I will also have to save...


Tip: Anticipate what the next letters are coming up and have one ready!

D-oh - you made me go out of sequence now.

Oh, well.

K - "Kinship" - Something Roy may or may not have said when he saved Deckard.

M - Mannequins - In the movie they're all over the place - the one in JF's bathroom looks very real! Which is exactly the point.
