What does Roy Batty mean when he says..."C-Beams" and "Tenhauser Gate"? What are C-Beams and What is the Tenhauser Gate?

From what I remember from the book Future Noir, it's all just made up gibberish. According to astronomers, there are no such things as c-beams and a Tannhouser Gates star system doesn't exist either.<BR><BR>

Yeah, I think it was all creative wordplay - whatever sounded good. Although the name "Tanhauser" rings a bell for some reason - I'll have to check my pre-WWII history....
